Little did I know at the beginning of this year that it’d fly by this quickly. It seems only yesterday it was January, and I was sharing the first novella ‘Stand By Me – Part 1’ in it’s beta form on the site. Between then and now worlds have changed. One collection out, another releasing 4th December – and now 11 whole ‘episodes’.
For a series conceived in my teenage bedroom in between playing Pokemon roms on my PC and homework assignments, that feels pretty amazing.
Episode XI – A Whole New World is a playful homage to those classic era TV episodes. You know the ones, where the heroes find themselves confronted with some dark ‘path not taken’ kind of a world. The fun energy of seeing Samantha Carter of Stargate as a geeky librarian-type rather than a badass soldier, or Clark Kent of Smallville wearing a black jacket instead.
It’s also the mid-season break for us. Year One: Blood Ties will resume in the new year with Episode XII – so there’s plenty of time to catch up with Ricky, Sara, Mark and the rest of the group as we do. Or pick up the polished collections, with exclusive in-world and behind-the-scenes bonus features. There’s plenty of ways to enjoy the story.
And we have only just begun…
