I’m so happy to announce that today is the launch day for my new tech-thriller Echo! Now available in eBook and Paperback in many places worldwide.
You can pick up your copy today at Amazon around the world – and if you visit the book page you’ll find a direct link to the most common markets.
Once you’ve read and enjoyed, I’d love it if you could spread the word and maybe post a little review or even a rating on Amazon or Goodreads and help others to find this author’s little corner of the universe!
If you’re unsure whether Echo is for you, you can check out the full blurb and a short excerpt on the page itself – but as usual I like to go on a bit as well. So below there’s a bit of background for such inclined readers…
What’s it About?

Echo starts as a kind of ghost story, when the strange image of a missing tech mogul is spotted in Ladybower Woods. Then, the body of Michael Vale – who has been declared dead by his wife Vanessa – is found in the same woods by a family outside camping. All seems a normal case closed situation… until he wakes up.
What follows is a tale of family and legacy, as well as some mind-bending explorations of human consciousness. Then you throw in a little nanotechnology, some corporate espionage type shenanigans, and shady business dealings – and you have something that feels a little homage to Michael Crichton, while being decidedly of the North.
And for us Northerners, it’s set in and around Sheffield – a city with a long history around technology.
How Does it Fit In?
Echo is designed as a standalone, self contained story. It’s my first science fiction book, but with the same grim humour and well… frankly… the greatest use of an apple I’ve ever seen. It can be read cover-to-cover and enjoyed as a singular tale with it’s own journeys and resolutions (and, naturally, a dangling thread or two).
But it is also the last standalone book in the tapestry that is the New Knights. Collected together with the worlds of Avalon, Insomniac and Bastet, Echo is that last little bit of the puzzle before next year’s grand crossover – and every bit as crucial a corner of the universe. So if you’re a completionist, this is a must before October 2027 when the New Knights will finally come together.
A Big Thank You!
Wow, you’ve made it down this far? By eck, best check whether the kettle’s finished boiling then. Only joking, I’m really glad you’re here. It’s the people who buy, read, rate and most importantly of all – ENJOY – that’s what keeps me going. It makes a big difference when you do all this yourself to know someone’s out there.
And please, don’t be shy – I’ll be over here tinkering around in the world of New Knights and the upcoming Heroes & Demons finale. After all, this is the last novel before the 10 year anniversary rolls around. And you just know I got some stuff in store for that one!
Peace and love y’all.
‘til the End
