A little warning before this month’s short-story. It’s not an easy read. ’til the End of the World has always been on the mature side of YA – very much relating to it’s roots as a nostalgic look at what we survived rather than the sanitised version of it we’re often given.
This month it takes a hard look at cycles of violence, with themes of domestic abuse, controlling behaviour, and harmful views on full display – and called out. Still, the complexity and nuance may be difficult for some readers, so it’s best to make it clear from the get go. This is a self-contained story, and so anything relevant to the future will be covered before the next episode drops.
